Cleveland @ Chicago

Current Records: Cleveland 27-18; Chicago 27-15

What to Know

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls are set to square off in a Central Division matchup at 8 p.m. ET Jan. 19 at United Center. The Cavaliers will be strutting in after a win while Chicago will be stumbling in from a loss.

Cleveland netted a 114-107 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. Cleveland relied on the efforts of point guard Darius Garland, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 dimes along with six boards, and center Jarrett Allen, who posted a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Allen has had at least ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Chicago received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 119-106 to the Memphis Grizzlies. Chicago was down 92-72 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. The losing side was boosted by point guard Ayo Dosunmu, who posted a double-double on 15 points and ten boards in addition to six assists.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Cavaliers are expected to win a tight contest on Wednesday. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (12-5-1), so they might be worth a quick bet.

Cleveland took their game against the Bulls in the teams’ previous meeting last month by a conclusive 115-92 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cleveland since the team won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
