A delegation led by the Minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, flanked by the Governor of Benguela, Luis Nunes, carried out today, May 27, an intense work day in Benguela province, in order to assess the status and progress of the projects of the electricity sub-sector.
Thus, the delegation began its journey, initially visiting the Biópio Solar Project. João Baptista Borges remembers that this project was launched on March 11, 2021, and is scheduled to end in May 2023. With an expected power of 188.8 MWdc, it has a physical execution of 54.81%.
Next, the substation and the Biopio sectioning station was visited, which has a capacity of 220 kV. As João Baptista Borges says, during the visit, the incumbent received guarantees from the contractor that the works are progressing at a good pace and the results are quite satisfactory.
